El Charro, located in Historic Downtown Safford, is the oldest continuously owned and operated family restaurant in the Gila Valley. El Charro had been serving delicious, fresh daily Mexican/American food since 1955 when the OverStreet/Hoopes families purchased it in 1979. El Charro takes great pride in the longevity of our kitchen staff. The El Charro Family continues to offer consistently good food and service in a casual, friendly hometown atmosphere.
